Position Summary
Summary of Responsibilities
We are seeking to hire a Training Director to develop group and individual training curriculum for both internal employees, priority customers, and trade associations. This position will also include understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning, and coaching).

- Ensure cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, and Sales, etc
- This position reports to the VP of Sales, Distribution and Product Management
Responsibilities - Design training programs that align with company goals, industry standards, product development, and customer experience in collaboration with Marketing personnel
- Determines product and technician training needs and aligns with Senior Staff on strategy, resources, and objectives
- Develops training curriculum including presentation(s), demonstration equipment, supporting literature pieces, etc
- Works closely with Marketing personnel to develop product orientated and website training videos to be utilized for customer presentations, Dexter’s website, video library, etc
- Monitors relevant developments within the business and participates in sharing information to elevate customer and employee engagement and communication across the enterprise
- Recommend new training methods (including e-learning courses)
- Plans, coordinates, and executes company’s attendance at customer rallies, developing a system and professional approach to ensure productive presence
- Collaborates with Trainers to effectively execute training programs both internal and external training events
- Ensure cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Service & Waranty, etc in the support necessary for all training (internal and customer) events and customer events (rallies, tradeshows, etc)
- Reports monthly on current events, future events, and activities within the training team
- Performs other tasks or duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work experience as a Training Director, Training Manager or similar role
- In-depth understanding of traditional and modern training methods (including workshops, simulations, e-learning and coaching)
- Experience organizing training activities in a corporate environment
- Hands-on experience with project management and budgeting
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- 7-10 years experience in training and development, including management experience
- Proven track record of designing and delivering successful training program
- Experience developing eLearning courses and materials
- Strong project management skills
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Willing to travel as necessary to execute responsibilities of the position
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Experience with authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate
Education
- Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or Learning and Development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
