Opal Foods is currently accepting applications for the position of Transporter for our Hampton Iowa Processing location. This position is responsible for transporting pallets of finished product to the wrapping station and/or the shipping cooler while maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations. This position will also assist the Processing Lead with other projects and duties as needed.

Position Responsibilities:

• Using a pallet-jack transport stacks of empty pallets from warehouse to stacker work area
• Using a pallet-jack transport finished pallets of product to the pallet wrapper machine
• May assist with wrapping pallets using the wrap machine
• May prepare, print, and apply pallet/CFS labels to each finished pallet
• Using a pallet-jack transport fully wrapped pallets of eggs to the designated location in the shipping cooler
• Stack cases of finished product onto pallets
• Responsible for helping other positions and cleaning up as needed

Requirements: (knowledge, experience, skills, education)

• Follows all Opal Foods Policies and Procedures including but not limited to Safety, Bio-security, FDA, SQF and GMP
• Must be clocked in and ready to work at scheduled start times.
• Demonstrated attention to details
• Must demonstrate the ability to be trained using a pallet-jack
• Requires walking, standing, turning, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination
• Must be able to print and match product labels
• Must be able to work for extended time periods at a fast-pace, standing, walking, operating pallet jack and completing repetitive tasks
• Must be able to stay until eggs have sufficiently run out of houses. Work shift may vary and extend past a normal 8 hour work day or end before 8 hours in a day
• Must be available to be scheduled for work 7 days a week including holidays
• Must be dependable and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
