Production - General Operative

Location: Aurivo Animal Feeds Mill, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon

Aurivo is a large multi-purpose co-operative engaged in a wide range of activities including dairy

processing, liquid milk distribution, animal feed milling, retail stores, garden centres, livestock

marketing as well as sports nutrition It employs over 600 people directly and provides jobs for many

others in transport, distribution and services.

Reports to:

Operations Manager – Aurivo Animal Feeds Mill

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Operations Manager & Production Team Leader of the Aurivo Animal Feeds Plant,

the successful candidate will work as part of a close-knit team to ensure Mill hygiene standards are

met along with effective operation of production equipment to meet product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain a high standard of hygiene/housekeeping of the Mill and adhere to health and safety

procedures

• Forklift and general operative duties

• Accurate completion of all necessary records and documentation

• Operate the manufacturing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and

ensure the equipment is maintained and operating correctly

• Assist with training as required and participate in continuous improvement projects with

production personnel

Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work proactively and with flexibility in a team environment

• Problem solving and analytical skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Energetic with a positive work attitude

• Available to work longer hours and shift work if required
