Production Group Lead

2nd shift : 3:30pm-11:30pm

Pay: $20.55-22.65 plus 2nd shift premium $1.50

Our South Fayetteville location is seeking a Production Group Lead to lead our 2nd shift Operation in the Industrial Building. The Production Group Lead will assist the Supervisor with the efficient operation of the shift and will direct the shift in the supervisor’s absence. The Production Group Lead must be able to efficiently multitask and manage shifting priorities. Basic math and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

This is a “working lead” position and will perform production work as needed. This position will have extended periods of standing and walking throughout the facility.

Responsibilities will include:

• Evaluates each production cell and signs off on all quality check sheets
• Trains new and temporary employees in the operation and set up of specific cells within their department
• Assists in staffing cells and in conducting pre-shift meetings
• Performs set up, operation, and changeover functions within a department for 50% of the duration of their shift
• Maintains a clean work area
• Actively ensures that all safety requirements and procedures are met at all times
• Other duties and project work as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications:

• Must have good oral and written communication skills and good math skills
• Needs good decision making and problem solving skills
• Attention to detail while operating safely is a must
• Must have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure
• Must be able to successfully pass the Material Handler Written Exam and complete a forklift certification
• Computer proficiency using handheld scanners and keyboards
• Excellent attendance is required
• Ability to regularly lift up to 60 lbs.
• High school degree or equivalent is required
• Two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
• Two (2) years with manufacturing experience is preferred
