ZLA Solutions is looking to hire Production MIG Welders for an automotive client in Rome, GA.

Job Description

Associates hired for this position will perform basic MIG welding in an automotive production setting.. Any prior experience with MIG welding serves as the primary qualification for this position, though all new hires will complete a probationary training period (lasting roughly a week) at the outset of employment.

Work Hours and Pay Rate

1st Shift
> Work Hours: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
> This is 40 hours + 10 hours OT before weekend OT (as requested)
> Pay Rate: $17.50 / hour after training period
> OT Pay Rate (after 40 hours): $26.25 / hour

2nd Shift
> Work Hours: 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM
> This is 40 hours + 10 hours OT before weekend OT (as requested)
> Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour after training period
> OT Pay Rate (after 40 hours): $27.00 / hour

Job Duties

• Achieve daily weld production goals.
• Repair all defects found by assembly, sort company or in conveyor area by end of shift.
• Take ownership of weld repair re-work.
• Assist with troubleshooting fit up, slag buildup, torch condition, etc.
• Must follow a set, periodic rotation through each inspection area.
• Communicate with supervisor/managers to address concerns.

Experience/Knowledge Needed

• 1+ years of MIG welding experience is strongly encouraged.
• Formal weld training beyond high school is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude, process knowledge, and strong communication skills are required.
• Completion of probationary training period and skill testing are required for continued employment
