Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
Job Summary:
Production Operators are responsible for all aspects of the production process, including loading, unloading material handling, equipment operation, process monitoring, quality control, warehousing, and various support activities (e.g. following the cleaning plan according to the internal 5s). The operator position duties and responsibilities can change based on the plants and production requirements. The production operator follows all standard work procedures and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
Tasks:
- Performs work as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
- Loading and unloading of production parts.
- Checking if racks are damaged, if so report it to the Shift Supervisor.
- Report equipment downtime to the Shift Supervisor and record it on the log book or priority list.
- Keep track of process details as directed in each line process (recording quality characteristics, and numbers of racks).
- Perform quality tests (e.g ink test, water brake test).
- Undertake training in multiple processes.
- Mentoring new employees.
- Perform quality checks according to Quality guidelines and package finished products/parts.
- Operation of process equipment as assigned in a safe and efficient manner.
- Prepare packaged finished goods for shipment to customers (strapping containers, etc.).
- Attendance at production meetings as directed.
- When required work as part of a continuous improvement team. Compliance with Company’s Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Maintain one's own work area to establish housekeeping standards.
- Helps to keep other employee areas clean and safe (kitchen, bathrooms, locker areas, etc.).
- Wear appropriate safety protection at all times and ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and procedures.
- Flexible to transfer to any other duties considered necessary to meet the needs of the business.
- Recognizes and reports line or product issues to supervisor.
- Ability to self-start yet take orders as directed.
