EMD Electronics in Savannah, GA is hiring a Production Planner - Mica. This role plays a crucial part in steering the global Supply Chain for Surface Solutions. The position is part of a Global Supply Chain Planning US team and serves the Business Unit Surface Solutions. Key to success is collaboration with a variety of interfaces both locally and globally (e.g., Demand Planning, Product Management, Customer Service, Production, Warehousing, Blending, QC as well as Outside Vendors).

Your Role:
EMD Electronics in Savannah, GA is hiring a Production Planner - Mica. This role plays a crucial part in steering the global Supply Chain for Surface Solutions. The position is part of a Global Supply Chain Planning US team and serves the Business Unit Surface Solutions. Key to success is collaboration with a variety of interfaces both locally and globally (e.g., Demand Planning, Product Management, Customer Service, Production, Warehousing, Blending, QC as well as Outside Vendors).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure an optimal detailed schedule for intermediates and finished products, as well as raw mica planning for the Savannah Plant.
- Manage all Raw Mica purchasing, working with Global team on contracts, invoice reconciliation, etc.
- Distributing Finished Goods to 3rd Party Warehouse Globally.
- Monitor product availability and ensure accurate planning master data in respective planning systems.
- Deliver on key service, inventory, and cost metrics by proactively managing risks and issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Management or other Business Administration or Science field
- 3+ years of work experience in Supply Chain
- Bachelor's degree with a Supply Chain focus or APICS CSCP certification
- Very good understanding of supply chain processes and best practices
- Experience in leading change and leading teams in a multi-functional environment
- Experience with APO PP/DS and SAP MRP
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
