BRT, a growing Aluminum Extrusion manufacturer Niles, OH is looking for a Packing Supervisor to join our team!

This position is responsible for ensuring continuous operation of packaging lines through operator management and process monitoring. You will supervise Packaging Leads and Packaging Operators to ensure daily completion of tasks integral to the operation and overall performance of the packaging line.

• Ensure continuous operation of Packing line through active involvement in operator management, process monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Complete daily and weekly tasks using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure sustained and repeatable quality and overall performance results.
• Actively mentor, coach, and hold accountable Packaging Operators as it relates to safety, quality, productivity, continuous improvement, and team harmony.
• Ensure cross-training of team members, improve use of all available resources, and overall team proficiency.
• Effectively communicate job knowledge and process changes to the operations team members and management through various forms of daily communication (shift handover meeting, production meetings, email, work orders, etc.).
• Make certain that Safety and Quality are at the forefront of all activities for you and your team, including taking effective escalation measures for safety, equipment and/or personnel issues for immediate resolution.
• Demonstrated ability to lead your team effectively.
• Lead by example and drive all Plant and Safety policies and procedures within the Plant, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to take on any task.
• Reliable and punctual - must adhere to attendance and absenteeism policy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking.
• Solution oriented with efficient decision-making driving root cause/corrective action ensuring all measurables are achieved consistently.
• Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
• Ability to demonstrate and maintain a “can-do” and positive attitude.
• Ability to provide and receive open and regular feedback and adjust accordingly.
• Works collaboratively within various teams. Ability to adjust communication/leadership style as needed and when appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
