Program Coordinator (Manor ISD)

SAFE’s Expect Respect Program seeks a Program Coordinator to “The Manor Collaborative” a community-wide effort to improve responses to youth exposed to violence and to create safer and more welcoming schools. This position convenes and facilitates a Coordinated Community Response Team of school district leaders, law enforcement officers, victim service advocates, youth development specialists and other community partners. Funded by the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), this project provides school-based counseling, support groups and leadership development for students in Manor ISD. This position is grant funded.

About this position:

  • We need you to fill the role of Program Coordinator (Manor ISD). This is a full-time, exempt position which will be hybrid, working out of our Grove campus, with frequent travel within Austin and Manor, TX. We will pay you an annual salary of $56,000-$59,000 dependent upon experience and you will receive mileage reimbursement.

Key Duties:

  • Convene Coordinated Community Response Team (CCRT) consisting of identified project partners to update needs assessment and strategic plan and submit to OVW for approval.
  • Develop detailed implementation plan with CCRT input to meet project goals and priorities.
  • Assist in grant management including budget tracking, monitoring contract of funded partner, project documentation and grant reporting.
  • Participate in OVW-mandated training including out of town travel as needed to attend grant-related conferences.
  • Coordinate project activities including school-based counseling and support groups, girls’ empowerment groups, summer youth leadership academy, professional training, policy review and develop and campaigns and events.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure that services and activities are culturally relevant, meet the needs of Manor youth and families, and improve responses to and prevention of dating, sexual and domestic violence, stalking and exploitation.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, education, or related field with appropriate licensure preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a school setting.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience engaging multi-disciplinary partners, providing training, developing policy, coordinating meetings and events.
  • Possess knowledge of child development and therapy modalities appropriate for children and teens and knowledge about sexual abuse and effects of domestic violence on children.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Preference for English/Spanish fluency.
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well a pre-employment drug screen and TB test if applicable.
  • All employees are required to comply with policies regarding COVID-19, which may be subject to change. COVID vaccines are still highly recommended, and we encourage employees to get vaccinated if they are able.
  • Have a valid, State of Texas Driver’s License, and:
    • At least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age; AND an acceptable driving record. If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver’s License within 90 days of beginning employment.

Please Note: All new employees regardless of status will be required to start their employment on either the 1st or 16th of the month and will be required to attend a three-day new employee orientation that is held both in-person and virtually the first three days of the month.
