- Hybrid Position: The role will allow employees to work offsite but will also require onsite work-based business needs.
Overview
Drives performance of the Accelera business by improving product portfolio and cost competitiveness through a combination of strategic, operational, and product development programs. This role is responsible for the planning, coordinating, evaluating and executing of activities involved with the entire operations of specific products, including development, testing, product quality, production, product and project cost, scheduling and performance, and launch. Manages large, complex programs and multiple cost reduction initiatives
Job Responsibilities:
- Manages new product, cost reduction, operational improvement and strategic initiatives which meet business objectives including profitability, budget, and timing
- Leads cross-functional teams and interfaces with all internal departments working on projects, to keep up to date on project status and ensure timely completion
- Provides subject matter expertise to Program Managers and staffs in all aspects of project and program management
- Works with customers to ensure project meets customer requirements
- Ensures proper coordination, prioritization, and communication of project objectives
- Aggressively pursue execution excellence utilizing standardized project management tools and compliance to Meritor processes
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters degree preferred
- 3 years of related project management experience preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified preferred
- Progressive responsibilities and successes in medium to large projects through their lifecycle
- Management experience in a cross-functional team environment
- Commercial vehicle market experience preferred
- New product development execution experience
- Automotive Product and Quality Process (APQP) stage gate expertise
- Must have experience communicating and presenting to Sr. Executive level
This position is eligible for Cummins-Meritor’s Incentive Compensation Plan, which offers payouts based on company performance.
