Salary Range: $85,000.00 $100,000.00

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The CP Center Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating the efforts around patient support, development and educational activities of the CP Center, and will coordinate research support with the CP Center's Research Coordinator. The Program Manager assists the Executive Director and Clinical Directors of the CP Center in day-to-day operations, acts as a liaison among patients, prospective patients and providers. S/he works as a team member with Department, Columbia University Medical Center, Columbia University and New York-Presbyterian Hospital staff, physicians, administration and patient-support teams.

Responsibilities

Leadership

The Program Manager will work with the Executive Director to establish the goals for the CP Center. The Program Manager will help develop the strategies and tactics to meet these goals and work with partners within the Medical Center and with our external partners to attain them.

Clinical services and marketing support

The CP Center Program Manager supports the clinical team to schedule and coordinate healthcare services; develops and renews a referral list of service providers for pediatric, transitional and adult CP patients; coordinates appointment scheduling with the Department and Divisions and across the Medical Center; develops non-medical resources (social work, job training, educational programming, assisted living) for CP patients and their families, and manages correspondence, communications, program announcements, and internet and social media presence for the CP Center in coordination with the Department's Business Development and Marketing Manager.

Educational support

The CP Center Program Manager coordinates educational activities for the CP Center such as Continuing Medical Education seminars, colloquia, special events, conferences, workshops, video and online content and competitions.

Financial support

S/he oversees the CP Center budgets for clinical activities, education and research under the supervision of the Executive Director and Department Executive Director, assists in the preparation of weekly and monthly dashboard reporting and coordinates grants and expense account management, billing and reimbursement associated with CP Center activities, working with the Department's Director of Finance and Billing Manager. S/he maintains patient confidentiality and ensures compliance and quality control conforming to all applicable HIPAA, University and Department billing compliance and safety guidelines.

Development

The CP Center Program Manager works closely with the Executive Director, Director of Development, and the Columbia University Development Office in fundraising and communication with potential and existing donors regarding CP Center program development. S/he assists with data collection for CP Center assessment, conducts background research and compiles various reports, including reports to funders.

Research

Works with the CP Center Research Coordinator on schedule of research meetings, grant applications and research oversight.

Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education, and experience plus a minimum of four years of experience working in a related field required

Preferred Qualifications

Must have strong computer skills with Windows environment preferred.

Ability to provide quality care for the patients and their families and to ensure that they feel comfortable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Demonstrated ability to identify problems, opportunities, and the ability to troubleshoot and implement solutions and improvements successfully.

Must be a motivated, self-starter with project development experience.

Must be able to work independently, take initiative and responsibility for complex tasks.

Professional demeanor and appearance required

Experience in project management preferred.
