Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.


Major/Essential Functions
  • Assist in the preparation of high-level strategies, gift proposals, implementation processes and cultivation and stewardship materials for principal gift prospects and donors.
  • Organize, coordinate and host meetings focused on donor strategies at the highest level ensuring the proper audience is in attendance to move the conversation forward.
  • Organize and prepare materials for donor strategies meetings and delegate next steps for items that require follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate proposal, funding, and reporting needs on each donor strategy record.
  • Adhere to and instill best practices to make effective use of the donor database, including entering donor strategy records.
  • Draft, review, and edit correspondence and materials while maintaining professional standards of communication.
  • Represent the university and the office at business and community meetings and events in a professional manner while adhering to TTU policies.
  • Work collaboratively with TTUS Institutional Advancement, the TTU Office of University Advancement, and colleagues to focus on shared strategic goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and time management skills. Highly organized with high attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in higher education and with managing high-level meetings with senior leadership.
