Aramark Northern Europe is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our team in Newenham House, Northern Cross Business Park, Malahide Road, Dublin 17. Reporting directly to the Director of Service Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and monitoring a multiple project across multiple disciplines from the initial phase right through to completion. You will discuss the project specifications with the respective clients and take charge of the team tasked with working on approved projects. Our Project Manager acts as a bridge between clients and our teams, and ensure the project goes according to plan. If there are any issues, it is up to you to solve them or bring them to the attention of the client or the contract leadership team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the teams in the safe delivery of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere and are managed to commercial agreements of the contract(s).
  • That all projects comply with statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant and meet technical industry standards.
  • Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.
  • Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
  • Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.
  • Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefings, consultation forums, correspondence, publicity, monthly and ad‐hoc reporting and other applications as appropriate.
  • Promote and maintain the core values of Aramark and the client.
  • Work with operational managers to ensure the collaborative development of the projects business with effective team working and support of colleagues.
  • Initiating the project which involves creating a budget, selecting a team, and deciding on a process, based upon the client requirements for the said project.
  • Conducting a feasibility study and a scoping submission to determine and define project scope and objectives.
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements of each individual project.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan for your team.
  • Setting the goals and objectives of the project for your team. This may include choosing the team and giving each individual member an assigned role.
  • Using specific project management tools to create a visual plan.
  • Managing the project; this involves constant communication with your team to keep everything on track.
  • Identifying and managing any risks to the project.
  • Track project costs in order to meet budgets, providing regular updates on same.
  • Troubleshooting any issues that occur. This means coming up with alternative plans in case your original plan is no longer feasible, in-line with budgets.
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Concluding the project successfully; includes an evaluation of the project as a whole to help you identify potential challenges for future projects.
  • Acting as PSDP on projects where required and designated.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • The performance of any reasonable task which assists with the efficient operation of designated projects and or the contract.

Qualifications

  • Recognised technical qualification in either a construction, mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • Business standard of written and verbal literacy as well as above average numeracy skills.
  • Recognised qualification in project management.
  • Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM, Construction or Critical Environment.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to inspire confidence.
  • High degree of integrity.
  • Highly organised with attention to detail.
  • Handle high levels of information from a wide range of sources
