Undergraduate degree in a scientific or health related discipline required. Advanced scientific or clinical degree or equivalent experience (MS/MPH/MD/PhD/DPH) preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 7 years of experience in health services, health policy or related research with an undergraduate degree; 4 years with a Masters; and 3 years with doctoral or professional degree. Experience should include at least 1 year of experience in successfully managing projects or teams.

Experience collaborating with other government contractors or independent non-government agencies that support outcomes measure work, preferred. Effectively communicates and facilitates teams in a multidisciplinary matrixed environment. 1. Project Management: Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the project aims, scope, budget and timeline. Creates and executes project plans with guidance from leadership and senior management team, and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Identifies resources and assigns responsibilities by confirming with senior leaders. Ensures timely review of deliverables prepared by the team before submitting to client. Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions. Complies with and helps to enforce standard policies and procedures.
2. Regulatory Adherence: Ensures adherence to regulations established by sponsors including federal agencies (e.g. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), Yale New Haven Hospital/Health, Yale University and other agencies. Ensures compliance with data use agreements, conflict of interest and invoicing/reporting requirements.
3. Writing and Analysis: Develops reports for budget, staffing, and subcontracts for tasks with direction from senior leaders. Implements templates, procedures and training for team. Contributes to new proposal development or contract modifications and writes/edits substantive sections.
4. Client/Sponsor Management: Manages day-to-day client interaction (internal and external stakeholders). Sets and manages client expectations. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
5. Communication: Facilitates team and client meetings effectively. Holds regular status meetings with project team(s). Keeps project team(s) well informed of changes within the organization and from the client. Effectively communicates relevant project information to management and leadership. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information.
6. Project Accounting: Tracks and reports team hours and other project expenses compared to budget. Analyzes results and provides status reports to leadership. Manages other direct costs, including subcontractors and consultants and their scopes and budgets.
7. Teamwork: Motivates team to work together in the most efficient manner. Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members. Mitigates team conflict and communication problems in collaboration with leadership.
