In Clayton, NC, we now operate two adjacent pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains.


Our Clayton, NC Injectable Finished Products (IFP) facility is a 457,000 square foot aseptic "fill and finish" site that is responsible for producing innovative, injectable diabetes and obesity treatments. Position Purpose

Responsible for advanced scheduling, project measurement, and analysis for Construction, Engineering, and Commissioning and Validation for Expansion projects. Manage multiple projects varying in size and complexity to ensure that they come in on time and budget. Work closely with Project Management and Field staff to create and maintain schedules and perform risk analysis and mitigation to support project teams in executing successful projects.


Accountabilities

  • Ensure schedule has complete scope coverage, identify potential scope growth, and ensure allowances and contingencies are appropriately used. Utilize industry benchmarks and internal historical durations to validate the quality of the overall schedule
  • Consulting with project managers and technical experts to create, update and analyze Construction Project Management (CPM) schedules; recommend workarounds and schedule improvement ideas to regain schedule slippage
  • Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Evaluating performance against schedule and preparing project progress reports
  • Facilitates internal teams, vendors interactive pull planning sessions with and implements a master planner system
  • Communicates schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including engineering, procurement, estimating, and construction management to properly sequence the work, assess durations, and enhance the overall quality and accuracy of the plan
  • Utilize resource loading to coordinate the project's earned value system with schedule updates
  • Develop Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Validation (EPCMQV) detail schedule with a minimum of supervision
  • Create and maintain schedules in Microsoft Project and P6
  • Help mentor younger schedulers
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned


Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree in Business Management, Project Management/Engineering or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience of project management/scheduling
  • Proven project scheduling experience with direct management of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of building construction, timelines, and practices
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to collect customer needs & develop into a set of actionable customer requirements
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills; ability to communicate across cultural barriers
  • Project management process

  • Extensive knowledge of project management
  • Develops & maintains strong internal relationships
  • Proficiency at problem solving, negotiation, conflict management, & interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates leadership skills; can act as project lead & lead cross functional project teams in the development & implementation of projects
  • Strong negotiation & collaboration skills. Must collaborate effectively with stakeholder areas within a global organization
  • Ability to influence others on objectives & project outcomes
  • Skilled in planning, coordinating & prioritizing activities to ensure optimal use of resources & materials


Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a pharmaceutical/GMP environment
  • Pharmaceutical / GMP environment
  • Working knowledge/experience of building & utility equipment
  • Proven expertise in mentoring/development, planning/organizing, managing execution, & revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams
  • Ability to relate to people in a diverse & international environment
  • Initiative, ability to function independently
  • Good judgment in decision making as well as very good leadership skills
  • Functions well in team environment
  • Ability to multi-task & prioritize tasks as required


Physical & Other Requirements

  • Occasionally moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions
  • Requires ability to move throughout the facility in the performance of duties in proximity of process equipment & areas
  • Constantly operates a computer & other office equipment using hands
  • Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation
  • Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction
