GovFirst is assisting our client with recruiting a Full-time, Direct Hire Federal Proposal Manager Writer position (hybrid/remote). Our client is consulting engineering and construction workeragement firm with large programs in the public sector and enterprise markets.
Hybrid/ Remote: preference for someone in driving distance to south plainfield, NJ
What you will do
The Federal Proposal Manager Writer’s work will focus on proposal development, specifically for the federal sector, allowing the company to pursue contracts at the federal level.
The Federal Proposal Manager Writer will support all phases of the proposal process in response to US Government technology-based requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs). The Federal Proposal Manager Writer will work with the client’s management, technical team, and marketing team in developing these proposal responses.
This position is responsible for developing the written proposal response encompassing technical, management, quality control, past performance, cost, and any other requirements of the solicitation.
A successful candidate will be a team player who is self-motivated and willing to jump in and assist with proposals outside the Federal sector as needed.
This position reports to the Project Executive.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a complete understanding of our client’s service to create compelling and relevant content.
- Search and obtain leads for federal agency bid opportunities every week
- Work with Project Managers and Senior Personnel to determine to-go/no-go RFP/Q opportunities within the Federal sector
- Consistently prepare proposals that meet the requirements and expectations of government contracting offices
- Perform quality control for federal proposals, including qualifications, company documents/forms, and presentations, and maintain marketing folder server organization
- Provide support in all phases of the proposal process, including content management (content review, new content creation, system updates), opportunity assessment, bid/no bid decisions, response design/development, response quality assurance, proposal delivery, win/loss analysis and proposal reporting
- Conducting proposal reviews and copy editing to ensure the development of high-quality responses promptly
- Work with satellite offices to provide/request resources as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Construction Workeragement, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least five years of previous federal proposal writing experience in the A/E/C industry
- Experience searching for bids
- Detail-oriented
- Accurate and precise with following written instructions
- Excellent research skills
- Clear communicator/writer
- Ability to take direction and change direction fluidly
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent computer and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Undergo a background check (required)
Preferences:
- A certificate in grant, proposal writing, and technical writing.
- Experience in developing proposals for the Construction .
