Responsibilities

· Serve as the main point of contact to book event spaces for the internal partners and public inquiries

· Maintain the events page on the college’s website.

· Understand requirements for each event and help ensure that the event is taking place in the best possible location.

· Manage event operations, including event setup and breakdown, coordination with facilities and security

· Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards

· Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems

· Evaluate event’s success and submit reports

Requirements and skills

· Proven experience as event coordinator

· A proven track record of organizing successful events

· Proficient in MS Office

· Excellent vendor management skills

· Outstanding communication and negotiation ability

· Well-organized with multi-tasking skills

· Able to handle stress and remain calm

· Problem-solving ability

Ability to lift 40 lbs, frequent standing and moving

Flexible hours required, approximately 24 hours per week
