POSITION PURPOSE
Keeps all lobbies and public facilities (such as lobby restroom, telephone area, the front desk and offices) in a neat and clean condition. Public area attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, and friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans and maintains restaurants and banquet halls.
- Sweeps/Vacuum carpets.
- Polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuums and polishes elevators.
- Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
- Moves arrange and cleans furniture.
- Responsible for upkeep of all the equipment which he/she using (Vacuum cleaner, carts and etc…)
- Responsible for maintaining a time schedule for cleaning of their areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes the public bathroom including sinks, toilet and floors.
- Sweeps, vacuums scrubs, waxes and polishes public area floors.
- Vacuum rugs rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies in the public areas and offices
- Empties waste baskets and cleans ashtrays in public areas and pool area.
- Maintains and cleans the pool area and furniture.
- Replenishes bathroom amenities within public bathrooms.
- Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required.
- Performs other duties as required.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:

· General knowledge of the city where hotel is located and its attractions.
· Extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services and facilities.
· Knowledge of occupational hazard and applicable safety practices.
· Ability to safely use cleaning products and safely operate cleaning equipment.
· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instruction.
· Ability to learn the methods of cleaning and caring for buildings and equipment.
· Ability to work as a team member in a structured working environment.
· Ability to work with timeliness and thoroughness.
· Ability to demonstrate excellence in everything, and continually seek improvement in result.
· Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners and disinfectants.
Physical Demands
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is requires to:
- Stand for Extended period
- Uses hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands, arms and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to walk.
- The employee occasionally is required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs
