Purchasing Administrator / Buyer
Chemco Pharmacy is an Irish owned pharmacy group that strives to bring its customers the value of a national chain, while maintaining the familiarity of a local independent store.
Opening the doors of its first store in Bunclody in April 2008 and is now operating over 10 stores nationwide. Our head office based in Kilkenny houses the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Department, allowing us to pass on competitive prices to our customers, thereby enhancing our ‘value for money‘ ethos.
Chemco Pharmacy are recruiting a Purchasing Administrator/Buyer to join our Purchasing team based in our Head Office in Kilkenny. This is a part time role: 2 to 3 days per week Monday to Friday.
Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, you will be provided with all the training you require to manage the administration of the supply chain function across the company. You will be a member of a driven and passionate team of experienced individuals.
Responsibilities include:
· Be capable of placing large central orders and co-ordinating the delivery and distribution of these orders to individual stores.
· Be capable of troubleshooting and resolving all ad hoc queries to support the purchasing team involving contact with other internal departments, our retail stores, wholesalers and suppliers.
· Be capable of resolving all purchase orders and invoice queries with suppliers.
· Be capable of collaborating with the marketing, operations and merchandising teams to co-ordinate promotions and in-store events, ensuring everything is in sync and on schedule.
· Conduct all external and internal relations with a high degree of professionalism and efficiency.
· Have experience in dealing with stock control and ensuring that stock levels across the group are in line with the agreed budget/levels.
· Other duties as required.
Role Requirements:
· 2 year’s experience in a similar administration role.
· Excellent analytical and accuracy skills.
· Strong IT skills – Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, fluency in MS Excel is essential.
· Experience in working in a fast paced environment.
· Proficient in written and oral English.
· The ability to work on own initiate as well as been able to work as part of a team.
· The ability to prioritise tasks under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Business / Purchasing Degree preferable but not essential.
