A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PURCHASING - WAREHOUSE MANAGER

As a Purchasing - Warehouse Manager, you play a vital role in our business. You ensure that our company's profit margins are large by locating the lowest prices on equipment and keeping our warehouse stocked with your finds. As you buy parts, you ensure that each one is linked with a purchase order and that the correct department is charged. An organizer at heart, you enjoy maintaining an orderly warehouse that has all the parts our customers need.

Working with the supply houses, you build up a consignment inventory of standard service supplies. At the end of the month, you count to ensure that the inventory has been properly tracked. Using the dispatch schedule, you also replenish the trucks. If ever our technicians or installers need parts they don't have, you arrange for efficient deliveries so that their time is spent doing a job, not searching for parts. Thanks to your efficient coordination, our warehousing system runs like clockwork and our company's supply costs are low. You feel great knowing you are helping our business thrive!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PURCHASING - WAREHOUSE MANAGER

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to perform the physical functions of the job, including lifting up to 25 lbs., climbing ladders, working in tight spaces, and laboring in extreme temperatures
• Ability to operate hand tools

WORK SCHEDULE
