Role Purpose Statement
The incumbent directs the Operations Quality Management System (OQMS) project and quality and food safety assurance programs. Also responsible to implement and evaluate project initiatives and quality programs to drive positive results.
Main Accountabilities
- Direct the execution of quality and hygiene operations performance standards, policies, and strategies to meet targets.
- Lead the implementation of Quality & Hygiene Programs, insuring regulatory and customer compliance.
- Ensure process and product quality through training, education and auditing
- Responsible to address operational needs in identifying quality and hygiene opportunities, apply improvement processes and problem elimination strategies which promote the organization’s global strategy for Total Quality Management and eliminate customer problems and complaints
- Improve CSC quality performance as evidenced by improved customer metrics
- Liaison with applicable regulatory agencies
- Interface with lean enterprise, marketing, menu design, procurement, culinary excellence, and engineering to adhere to quality and hygiene requirements
- Manage the quality and hygiene inspection functions to ensure existing products and processes are administered; work with department manager to resolve issues and make recommendations for improvements that increase product uniformity and process standardization to improve quality characteristics and reduce customer complaints. Ensure effective role out and administration of OQMS project
- Lead the successful role out of the OQMS project implementation and ongoing administration.
- Lead effective problem solving initiatives with department managers to resolve issues
- Administer vendor compliance program via audits
- Resolve quality and food safety issues
- Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
- Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
- Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
- Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Biology or equivalent knowledge required
- In addition, seven to ten years quality assurance management experience required
- Expertise implementing Quality and Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques; related certifications, such as Airline Service Quality Performance (ASQP), Certified Quality Manager (CQM) a plus
- Experience in conducting internal audits
- Proactive problem-solving and creative decision-making skills
- Experience in a team-based management environment
- Ability to facilitate groups and communicate effectively at all levels in the organization
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $82,615.00 - $95,979.00 per year
