Job description

Mountain West Medical Clinic is seeking a Qualified Medical Professional (QMP) to assist with diagnosing patients with preexisting conditions at a 4/20 event in Utah. The QMP will be responsible for evaluating patients to determine if they qualify for a medical cannabis card according to the state of Utah's regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial consultations with patients to assess their medical history and current condition
• Evaluate patients' eligibility for medical cannabis based on Utah state regulations
• Provide recommendations and guidance to patients on the use of medical cannabis as a treatment option
• Create and maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to ensure proper patient care
• Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding medical cannabis use and patient confidentiality

Requirements:

• Active medical license in the state of Utah (Nurse practitioner, MD, etc)
• MUST HAVE DEA license and be able to complete 4-hour medical cannabis training course by 4/17
• Knowledge of medical cannabis and its potential benefits and risks
• Understanding of Utah state regulations regarding medical cannabis use and patient qualifications
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple patients simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed

This is a temporary, part-time position that will require working at the 4/20 event for a limited time period. The QMP will report to the Medical Director of Mountain West Medical Clinic and will be compensated on a per patient basis.

Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour
