Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for creating and implementing testing methods, recording the test results, and providing recommendations to improve software program effectiveness and efficiency. Candidate must be a US citizen or possess permanent authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes.
• Work collaboratively with the software development team to understand product vision and requirements.
• Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
• Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
• Collaborate with software developers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommend possible solutions.
• Understand and implement every aspect of the quality process.
• Ensure the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a Quality Assurance role testing web-based and mobile applications.
• Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Automated testing tools is a plus.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to think critically and creatively.
