An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Quality Control Analyst - Microbiology. This position will be responsible for qualifying the Microbiology Quality Control lab and the transfer of Microbiological analytical methods including but not limited to cutting edge Rapid Microbiological Methods. The overall responsibility for this role will be to support the Microbiology testing function, ensuring compliance with cGMP and corporate regulations.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Perform and carry out a variety of routine microbiological analytical techniques including but not limited to Endotoxin and Bioburden analysis for both product (in-process and final product samples) and water samples, Environmental Monitoring, Growth Promotion testing and Microbial Identification testing – all in compliance with GMP requirements
  • Participate in the technical transfer/ validation / verification of microbiological and analytical testing procedures.
  • To review and approve testing data and be competent in the use of MODA and or Global LIMS systems.
  • Adhere to the Quality Control documentation system and prepare and review document change requests as required.
  • Foster a continuous improvement environment and bring strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Operate to the highest standards of Safety, Quality and Compliance.
  • Contribute to a team setting within the laboratory and project activities and potentially with other teams across site.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Degree qualification (Science/Quality/Technical).
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical Industry, particularly in relation to Environmental Monitoring, Endotoxin and Bioburden Testing.
  • Ability to think logically and be proactive under pressure.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner.
  • Flexible and self-motivated.
  • Experience in 5S.
