Job description

We are looking for a quality control inspector for a supplier of custom fabricated stampings and assemblies. This is a full time, temp to hire position paying $18-22/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities of quality control inspector:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong clerical skills. Ability to track multiple tasks and document critical information.
• Detail oriented and capable of driving timely resolution to issues.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and significant experience in driving corrective action (e.g. 5 why, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).
• Capability to adjust work operations to meet emergency or changing production requirements.
• Hands-on and results driven.

Requirements of quality control inspector:

• Experience in mass production metal fabrication. Sheet metal industry knowledge a plus.
• Experience in ISO-9000 with AS9100 systems a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of core quality tools (First Article/First Piece inspection, PPAP)
• Must pass a national criminal background check and pre-employment drug test!
