Job Specifications

• Competency in basic mathematics
• Ability to read and write proficiently
• Understanding of measuring/inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators etc.
• Capacity to lift up to 50lbs.

The Quality Technician is responsible for the total quality of product manufactured by Cast Products, Inc. Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Examining assigned material per CPI Control Plan and distinguishing between conforming and non-conforming material
• Performing First-Piece Inspection
• Developing quality documents such as Control Charts, Inspection Reports and SPC charts as well as in-process inspection records.
• Inputting inspection data into the database and documenting results by completing necessary reports and log
• Providing quality instructions to machine operators
• Ensuring that measuring equipment is clean, secure, calibrated and properly stored
• Verifying in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments to Production Supervisor
• Reporting quality concerns to Quality Manager and or Sr. Quality Technician/Supervisor
• Approving/rejecting production material
• Stopping production when non-conformity has been detected
