Roles & Responsibilities:

• To carry out First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in support of Industrial Validation plans ensuring that Manufacturing and related processes are applied across their manufacturing processes
• Preparation of First Article Inspections applying the DISCUS software to balloon the drawing through the analysis of the manufacturing data pack and understanding of the associated processes, gathering all the necessary information required to include in the FAIR package
• Delivery of First Article Inspection package to manufacturing to record characteristics from the drawing and for manufacturing to witness and validate the accuracy and tooling applied to record the actuals
• Identification of non-conformances and areas for improvement during the FAI process ensuring the relevant supervision are made aware and understand the issues.
• Compilation of AS9102B form, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using DISCUS software detail findings from FAI conducted.
• Management of non-conformances working with the manufacturing and quality engineer to closure ensuring that the necessary actions have been taken to prevent recurrence of the issues.
• Compilation of FAI metrics to inform leadership team of the status and open actions to drive closure

• Experience in First Article Inspection compile package use of DISCUS software per AS9102B requirements
• AS Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or in absence of a degree technical school or apprenticeship (4 + years)

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Extensive knowledge and experience of EN/AS9100 and EN/AS9102B
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Familiar with SAP
• Planning and organizing skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritized and monitored to deliver set objectives.
• Capability to identify sustainable business improvements & ensure effective implementation.
• Recognize and understand internal and external customer requirements and respond to them.
• Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
• Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks
• Recognize and understand regulatory and certification requirements and respond to them

• Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.
• Extensive use of DISCUS software to balloon, structure, populate and compile FAIRs
• Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
• Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
• Typical 8-hour days plus lunch / 40-hour week/core (required) hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM
• Ability to use personal transportation to be on customer’s site
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to the nature of the work
