GA Foods is hiring a Bulk Can Quality Inspector to work for our corporate facility in St. Petersburg, FL. The individual on this entry level position will be responsible for checking the quality of all incoming and outgoing canned products in the warehouse as well as production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential with zero tolerance for dented or damaged cans in the warehouse or production area. The goal is to ensure that only usable, undamaged canned products are kept in the warehouse for use.

Bulk Can inspector Essential Duties:

• Inspecting inbound canned products using industry-appropriate methods, comparing to standards.
• Reviewing bill of landing to compare inbound goods.
• Recording Bulk Can inspection results by completing reports and waste reports.
• Assisting in the development of inspection plans.
• All other duties as assigned by manager.
• Perform other related duties as requested by Quality Systems Manager or Supervisor.

Bulk Can inspector Qualifications:

• Good oral and written communication skills/
• Strong attention to detail and data driven mindset.
• Pallet Jack Experience.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English effectively.

Bulk Can inspector Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the shift (8 hours).
• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves, but is not limited to temperature extremes or similar elements most of the workday.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, carry, pull, push, grasp, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive motion tasks - primarily manual tasks - in a standing position for the entire shift.
