Job Description

  • Conduct analysis of QA by compiling data and interpreting results, routine checks (fiber content, weight, and mechanical properties) and improve product quality, if necessary, through surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, investigating process stability studies, establishing corrective actions and re-validations.
  • Create documentation for panel production, tape specifications, spool summaries, MSDS and new part numbers by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information.
  • Responsible for external and internal certifications, Quality Manual as well as lead ISO audits and re-certifications.
  • Analyzing trends, in product quality and performance over time based on quantitative results.
  • Respond to Customer Complaints, putting in containment actions, with full analysis and implementation of both short term and long term countermeasures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
  • Lead company-wide effort to achieve quality targets for customers and internal business goals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies, plans, and procedures.
  • Responsible for matters related to environmental permitting (air, water, waste), safety, compliance monitoring, reporting, and auditing.
  • Drive continuous improvement programs.
  • Participate in accident investigations to determine root cause and prevention.
  • Serve as Emergency Response Team Lead and chair Safety Committee.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality management related fields is required.
  • Certified quality auditor a plus.
  • Lean, Six Sigma certifications a plus.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a quality management role
  • Experience leading ISO audits (required)
  • Experience required with ISO 9001, 9100 (Aerospace) or 16949 (Automotive).
  • Experience in thermoplastics (composites or compounded resins) a plus.
  • Primary language is English. Ability to speak in Spanish and/or Mandarin a plus.
