FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care, Home of The Pickering House is seeking a Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement (QAPI) Manager to assist in developing, maintaining, and implementing QAPI practices, procedures and standards. Ensures compliance with same.

Physical Setting: In-office environment. Driving may be required.
Work Location: Main office location is located in Lancaster, Ohio. Service area coverage throughout Fairfield, Hocking, Perry and surrounding counties.
Compensation:$67,367 - $89,181 annually
Responsibilities:- Under the direction of the Quality Director, assist in the management and oversight of the agency’s Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement Plan. Assist with updates as needed.
- Open daily new admission charts working with clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Complete Hospice Item Set (HIS) requirements for both admission and discharge records.
- Develop clinical reports and data collection. Assist in ensuring all appropriate data is available, accurate and complete for data entry into electronic health records according to FAIRHOPE’s protocols. Conduct audit of charts as needed and/or required.
- Ensure proper use of the electronic Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) reporting systems and input all pertinent information accurately and timely.
- Assist the Quality Director with database management for infection control, handwashing surveillance, incident reporting, and vaccination compliance. Complete scheduled reports timely to Quality Improvement Committee and FAIRHOPE Board of Trustees.
- Chair Quality Improvement Committee under direction of Quality Director.
- Serve as clinical resource and trainer for electronic medical records.
- Assist in the development of organizational goals. Assist in the development, recommendation, and administration of organization policies and procedures.
- Remain HIPAA compliant at all times.
- Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio; BSN preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in the healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and system skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize as necessary.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Compliant with internal and external regulatory standards including local and state health departments, Medicare, Medicaid, The Joint Commission, licensure and agency policies and procedures to assure readiness for survey inspections, both announced and unannounced.
- Serve as Administrator On-Call (AOC) as scheduled.
