Job Description- Quality Manager (ISO 9001 Facility)

This position reports to the President/ CEO and has dotted line reporting to the Director of Operations. This is for a precision CNC Machining Operation with value add services. The Quality Manager leads and executes all facets of managing the quality system at this location. This is a staff level position. Currently there are three other employees reporting to the manager’s position. One is a Quality Engineer and the other are Inspectors. This person will oversee the activity on the shop floor , manage the Customer and Supplier quality relations and lead the ISO 9001 compliance. This person must be familiar with ISO 9001 industry expectations and procedures. The employee must have attention to detail. You must be a team player.

Job Functions:

• Read and interpret part drawings, and how to apply GD&T.
• Familiar with PC Dmis and CMM inspection practices Have the aptitude to troubleshoot issues with the CMM measurements.
• Be familiar with bench gaging techniques and accuracy requirements.
• Oversee in process shop floor audit and dimensional inspections and collaborate with staff to make this happen.
• Be responsible for all facets of ISO compliance which includes
• Corrective action process.
• Training
• Process Control
• Process Capability
• APQP- new product.
• Audit and Certification
• Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work environment under general supervision.
• Shall demonstrate the ability to complete all departmental paperwork in detail.
• Be a self-starter, work under minimum supervision to complete the daily responsibilities.
• Understanding ethical behavior.
