Optimize Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturing client in Kildare to recruit a Quality Technologist on a full-time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Quality and Food Safety systems to customer and third-party standards and ensure adherence to relevant legislation.
The Quality Assurance Supervisor will report directly to the Quality Manager.



Hours of work: 8:30am- 5pm. Flexibility required.
Salary €DOE + benefits package.



The successful individual will have the following:
  • Minimum recognised Diploma in a Food related discipline.
  • Ideally 2+ years QA/QC experience in Food Manufacturing environment.
  • HACCP certification is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Good IT skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of food legislation, BRC Global Food Standard and specific customer standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must have an excellent attitude and be motivated to develop your career.
  • Lead Auditor certification is advantageous.

Some of the responsibilities with this role include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Maintain the supplier management process with detailed specification, risk assessment, audit, and approval records for all raw material, packaging, or miscellaneous suppliers.
  • Review and evaluate suppliers to give feedback on performance and quality on a frequency that reflects their risk, size, and complexity.
  • Develop and maintain internal specifications for the factory.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in implementing the internal audit programme to ensure Quality System compliance.
  • Report non-conformances and drive root cause analysis in a timely and comprehensive manner.
  • Carry out investigations for customer complaints, liaising with the production/ maintenance teams.
  • Interface with NPD as required for the successful launch of new products into production.
  • Shelf-life analysis management as required for chilled and frozen product.
  • Use trended data/ statistical analysis from KPI’s as part of continuous improvement loop.
  • Any other duties as required.
