Oneida Health is seeking a full-time X-Ray Technologist (Wed-Sat 8a-6p) for its Hospital Radiology Department. This position is responsible for performing X-Ray exams and other diagnostic imaging procedures using radiation-producing equipment under the supervising Radiologic Technologist. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a supportive team environment.

What You’ll be Great At:

• Capturing images, obtaining the best quality while critiquing films, and ensuring the patients are comfortable and safe.
• Using your attention to detail and keen observation skills to obtain and evaluate images for best density, detail, and contrast.
• Utilizing excellent communication skills to prepare patients for exams, including taking a medical history and answering questions about the exam.
• Maintaining equipment and stocking supplies.
• Focusing on safety standards in operating equipment including unnecessary exposure to radiation and using proper shielding.
• Working side by side with the radiologist during fluoroscopic exams and setting up the room for Fluoroscopy studies and procedures.
• Staying up to date on new Imaging developments through professional journals, on-the-job training, and other educational opportunities.
