What you will do:

  • Operate complex radiology machines in a procedural setting to obtain optimum imaging results, using technical/clinical knowledge and ability.
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and the exam process by performing effective positioning, adjusting immobilization devices, and moving equipment, including C-ARM, according to specific instructions, and adjusting exposure controls.
  • Minimize radiation exposure by practicing all radiation protection techniques, as well as using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
  • Ensure the functionality of all radiology equipment by following all standard operating instructions, performing any preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions appropriately, sustaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment/techniques.
  • Provide support in the event of any clinical complications, including following all drug protocols, administering first aid, and using emergency equipment effectively.
  • Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment by adhering to all infection control regulations, policies, and procedures.

What we require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • A valid and current license in the state of employment, if the state offers a licensing certification program.
  • Valid and current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or valid and current registration with an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency.
  • A minimum of six months of experience in X-Ray and familiarity with routine medical procedures, preferably in a group practice setting.
  • Knowledge of EMR and/or Electronic Practice Management systems and technologies, preferably Centricity and Modernizing Medicine.
