Job Title: Raw MaterialBuyer/Planner

Location: Drogheda, Co. Louth

Contract: Fixed term (specific purpose)

Role Overview:

The purpose of this role is to support the master production schedule by securing the supply of all raw materials and consumables in the right quantity and at the right time.

Develop a process on Demand Solutions (DSX) to support best-in-class planning processes for raw materials. Build and develop relationships with the supply base and create key performance indicators that drive continuous improvements in product quality and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all planning and tactical procurement activities relating to production and operations.
• Processing of all purchase orders to supply base to optimise cost and cash flow.
• Create a procurement plan based on the master production plans liaising with sales, production and warehousing departments as necessary.
• Communicating delays and availability issues to relevant areas such as Production planning and customer service etc
• Track purchase order availability and expedite/de-expedite as needed.
• Develop and maintain planning parameters for all SKUs on DSX (lot size, safety stock, lead times etc.)
• Submission of 12-month rolling monthly forecasts of raw materials to suppliers.
• Review MRP calculations and agree on purchase budgets.
• Analyse spending data, and build and present reports regarding all procurement activity versus budget.
• Manage supplier database and update all relevant data including current negotiated prices.
• Represent the supply base for projects relating to new product introductions (NPI)
• Responsible for product lifecycle of raw materials ensuring high availability of new stock while minimising obsolescence of discontinued materials.
• Establish forums for formal business reviews between Water Wipes and the supply base.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify areas for improvements and cost savings.
• Assist in the business commercial negotiations of raw materials with suppliers.
• Perform regular checks on actuals achieved in relation to the master plan set out and investigate any discrepancies.
• Develop, measure and publish key performance indicators (KPIs) relating to supplier performance: Cost, quality, availability and cash flow.
• Responsible for the resolution of supplier invoice issues in a timely manner with the Finance department

Experience and Qualifications:

• Demonstrated creative problem-solving and analytical skills within a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and challenging environment.
• Previous experience in FMCG international procurement of raw materials and logistics requirements
• Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system is desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Purchasing/ Business related discipline beneficial
• APICS / CIPS / IIPM accreditation beneficial
• Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Planning or Procurement Function.
• Exposure to multi-geography Supplier and Vendor management processes and continuous improvement
• Capable of planning, executing and delivering within specified timeframes and project deadlines.
• Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good team working skills and the ability to work on your own.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English language
• Available to travel (maximum 20%)
