Raw Materials Planner

The TC Transcontinental Tulsa, OK site has an opening for a Raw Materials Planner, which will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, maintaining raw material inventory levels, and schedule delivery to assure availability of materials to efficiently meet production schedule and requirements.
What you will do
- Control inventory management of raw materials.
- Control the safety and integrity of raw materials per SQF requirements.
- Work with SQF Practitioner to ensure all regulatory requirements are met on all new incoming materials.
- Work with Corporate Procurement on Resin sourcing and pricing.
- Management of railcar systems.
- Communicate and track railcars through OmniTRAX.
- Receive orders from schedulers, calculate needed lead times, provide Capacity Planner and extrusion management with date materials will be available to produce what is ordered.
- Confirm all raw materials are available to complete production orders.
- Accountable for ensuring schedules are workable and free of interactions that place plant in excessive risk.
- Work with employees directly and indirectly. Communicate with Logistical and warehouse support staff about work status and shipments. Answer scheduling questions from support staff throughout the day.
- Work with R&D for ordering of new trial resins.
- Schedule Production for Extrusion areas and other areas as needed.
- Receive and track COA’s for all resins.
- Develop and maintain SOP’s for role.
- Work with off-site 3rd party warehouse and Accounting on tracking movement and inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and use planning report daily to place orders for raw materials based on production schedule.
- Quarterly meeting with Controller to review aged inventory and develop plan on disposition.
- Track consumption numbers, anticipate problems and mitigate risks to maintain efficient use of resources.
- Confirm ordering requirements per vendor are met when materials are needed.
- Monitor production status to meet goals and drive corrective actions for production misses.
- Build new resin part numbers, as needed.
- Oversee completion of off-loading railcars.
- Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack use required.
- Upholds all ethical standards associated with safety, quality and food safety policies and procedures within the facility, including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and Values.
- Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Tulsa plant, including, but not limited to – Safety, Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and any other processes established within the TC Tulsa plant.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

- High School Diploma or equivalent education, preferred experience in a manufacturing environment.
