About the role

We are looking for an RD&A Technologist that will support our team in developing new products for the meat alternatives market. In this role you will be working as part of the Meat RD&A team based in Naas, Kildare, developing new products in line with customer project briefs.

The position is for a maternity cover.

We are open to support with relocation the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Working as part of a team to develop market suitable products in line with customer brief, using the Kerry portfolio
• Work with colleagues to drive proactive development in the marketplace
• Be able to develop a strong market understanding and knowledge related to ingredients used
• Demonstrate and build processing expertise in Kerry and customer factories - ability to problem solve, think through challenges
• As part of a team create market leading products based on insights from Chef, Marketing and Commercial teams
• Making & dispatching finished products for customer with all relevant information and documentation
• Supporting customer engagement, presentations and RDA based communication

Qualifications and skills

• BSc in Food Science / Technology or other such related field
• Preferred a basic-medium experience in the field
• Previous experience of processing & knowledge of food manufacturing ideally Meat alternatives, Poultry &/or Red Meat would be beneficial
• Be able to demonstrate basic knowledge of Flavours and Food Preservation systems
• Demonstrates an interest in Food (demonstrates creativity, practical skills & enjoyment of food)
• Full training will be provided

• Have a passion for food and the ability to confidently present information and food products
• Excellent organisational and PC skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel)
