Looking for full-time professional, efficient and friendly additions to our group of amazing reception personnel for a busy non-profit health clinic.
POSITION SUMMARY: Front Desk responsibilities include all aspects of patient check-in and check-out, including gathering and verifying all patient information, entering charges, and collecting patient fees. This employee also answers incoming phone calls, schedules patient appointments, and prepares bank deposits. The front desk coordinator is usually the first person a new patient meets when entering a community health center clinic, and it is essential that there is an atmosphere of professionalism, order, and concern for the patient.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Check patients in and out in an orderly and timely manner, assuring that all patient information is complete, accurate, and secure, and that patients are treated courteously. Answer phone calls in a timely, professional manner Perform new patient registration, including setting up new patient charts and determining temporary eligibility, also, enter updates on all patient master file information. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments. Collect patient fees at time of service, generate receipts and invoices, and safeguard all money kept in the clinic. Confirm patient appointments as assigned. Check accuracy of various forms (e.g. prescription vouchers, insurance) and record voucher numbers in the corresponding logs. Answer incoming phone calls in a courteous manner, and leave complete messages with appropriate clinic personnel. Perform Medical Record duties when the need arises. Assist patients and interact with the billing office on patient billing questions. Comply with all HIPAA regulations. Scan documents into patient charts.
