Position Summary:
This is a great opportunity to become a part of our team in our respected, busy ENT clinic as a receptionist /patient care assistant. Successful candidate must maintain a friendly, professional image at all times in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service with every interaction.


Essential Job Functions: Maintain an efficient workflow at the reception desk. Answer phone calls and take messages to send to providers and clinical staff when appropriate. Learn and use multiple systems to schedule, reschedule and check-in patients for appointment. Collect and apply copays and balances. Update patient demographics. Verify insurance and eligibility/scan insurance cards. Send pre-registration to patients. Balance the end of day/month reports. Keep lobby and reception area tidy. Room patients in exam rooms-complete intake to present to providers. Administer allergy injections to patients as ordered by providers. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to travel to other locations if needed.


Qualifications: Must have a positive attitude and strong communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required. Must be able to work well with people and have outstanding interpersonal skills. Must have excellent telephone etiquette. Must be able to multitask while working in a very fast paced environment. Ideal candidate is organized, possess good time management skills, and exhibits professionalism in dress and language. Punctuality and reliability are imperative. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, as well as work well in our team environment. Medical office experience is a plus, but not required.


Hours: Tuesdays- Brigham office 8:00am-5:30 pm Wednesdays- Farr West office 7:45am-5:00pm Opportunities to assist with shifts at other locations as needed.
