The Naval Nuclear Laboratory comprises the U.S. Department of Energy locations and personnel responsible for developing advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology, providing technical support to ensure the safety and reliability of our nation’s naval nuclear reactors, and training the Sailors who operate those reactors in the U.S. Navy’s submarines and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory includes the Bettis and Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories, the Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and the Naval Reactors Facility which have proudly supported the nation since 1946. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory has nearly 8,000 employees working at primary locations in Pennsylvania, New York, South Carolina, and Idaho. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory also has an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations around the globe. We are dedicated solely to the support of the United States Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. Job Description
Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) is looking for an experienced IT Professional within the Records Management (RM) Unit. You would have the opportunity to participate in leading efforts to help NNL’s digital transformation/modernization efforts. You would have the opportunity to participate in leading efforts to establish an Enterprise Content Management application, inclusive of Records management functionality, for the modernized unclassified network, PrimeNet. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to improve the existing enterprise wide records management tools and develop new modernized workflows.
The selected individual will be an enthusiastic champion of good information management, will lead and support important RM initiatives, drive continuous improvement of our enterprise RM applications, and build strong working relationships in order to influence change.
The position includes the following:
- Serve as a functional owner of content management and records management applications
- Software Development
- Developing automated workflows via PowerApps
- Diagnose and resolve system configuration performance and reliability issues
- Proactively interact with customers to Identify and prioritize improvement initiatives for enterprise RM applications
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of nine years of relevant experience or;
- Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with owning an enterprise-wide application
- Experience with owning a database and application server
- Development Experience with PowerApps
- Experience with working in a collaborative environment across multiple sites
