Responsibilities as a Certified Recovery Specialist:
- Act as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator for persons served.
- Connect with the client through shared lived experiences.
- Support recovery planning - encouraging goal identification, problem solving and dreaming of possibilities.
- Accompany clients to community activities and appointments.
- Share information about skills related to health, wellness, and recovery.
- Serve as part of the client's support system
- Collaborate with COE team to address client needs
- Respects the client's personal choices and method of recovery and does not promote their personal recovery model.
Skills/Qualifications as a Certified Recovery Specialist:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified as a Recovery Specialist or Family Recovery Specialist from Pennsylvania Certification Board required. AHCTC
