Job description
The Recruiter is responsible for the overall recruiting strategy. In this role, the Recruiter will collaborate with hiring managers to develop and implement rapid, innovative, proactive and effective recruiting strategies and deliver high quality professional candidates.
- Full life cycle recruiting process. This includes proactively sourcing, screening, interviewing, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the selection process.
- Harbor a basic understanding of the company’s organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Develop meaningful partnerships with hiring managers in order to understand their business needs.
- Create employment advertising that will attract strong pool of candidates that is distinctive for market and chosen media.
- Utilize and be knowledgeable of all business and social media sites for employment advertising.
- Act as a liaison between area employment agencies and management.
- Create job descriptions from knowledge gained through pro-active interaction with all company groups.
- Manage job posting boards.
- Perform reference checks.
- Create recruiting, employment, and retention data reports.
- Maintain recruiting and onboarding inventory for projected events during the calendar year.
- Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity.
- Regularly follow up with respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of the recruitment process workflow.
- Build and maintain databases of quality candidates by market for current and future openings.
- Develop and implement strategic recruiting initiatives to attract diverse talent for a multi-state organization.
- Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and internet sites to find qualified passive candidates.
- Establish recruiting requirements by studying organizational plans and objectives, and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
- Continually build a talent pipeline to solve future business needs with a focus on specific patterns of performance to identify candidates who will deliver high quality results.
- Assist with HR and organizational related internal and external activities
- Act as the liaison for the organization’s social media sites and the company newsletter

Physical/Cognitive Requirements
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, climb, reach and manipulate objects, office equipment and electronic devices. Minimum physical exertion.
- Duties involving moving materials up to 10 pounds on a regular basis and up to 20 pounds on occasion.
- Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 75% of the work period while operating equipment such as a computer keyboard, mouse, phone and/or similar machines.
Attendance/Schedule
- Monday – Friday with occasional nights and weekends.
- Ability to work extended hours, per business needs.
- Travel up to 50%, to include overnight and out of state travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 3 years relevant experience.
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
- Proactive, highly organized, and able to multi-task while shifting priorities and maintaining workflows and processes.
- Ability to comprehend our complex business to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies across all departments.
- Build strong professional partnerships and collaborative teams with hiring managers
- Experience in multi-state recruiting tactics preferred
- Knowledgeable in multi-state employment laws and regulations preferredTeam player with a high sense of urgency; able to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrates excellent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving
- Maintains confidentiality and high ethical regard for sensitive information and situations
- The Recruiter reports directly to the Human Resource Manager
- The Recruiter does not have direct reports.
