Primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth flow of Dental Operations at all three sites in addition to tracking and monitoring referrals.

This is a full time, 40 hrs/wk, benefit eligible position.

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy
In accordance with LifeLong Medical Care's commitment to provide and maintain a workplace that is free of known hazards, we have adopted a Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccine Policy to safeguard the health of our employees and their families; our patients and visitors; and the community at large from infectious diseases, that vaccinations may reduce. This policy will comply with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Order of the California State Public Health Officer. Unless a reasonable medical or religious accommodation is approved, all employees must receive COVID-19 vaccinations.
Responsibilities:
  • Process all internal Treatment Authorization Requests forms for dentures, partials and/or crowns
  • Contact patients to schedule their authorized removable/fixed prosthetics
  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing referrals to all dental sites
  • Schedules all referrals; with priority given to the urgent referrals, children, women of child bearing age, and medically compromised patients
  • Schedule internal referrals from Lifelong site(s) Berkeley Dental, Brookside San Pablo, William Jenkins Health Clinics and the Call Center
  • Verifies patient’s health history prior to processing patients referral to ensure patient has no barriers to receiving in person treatment
  • Verifies patient’s eligibility as needed
  • Check patients in upon arrival and check patients out after completion of their appointment as needed
  • Answer phones and schedule dental appointments as needed
  • Performs other duties when assigned by the Center Manager and Operations Manager
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills, and ability to be flexible and adaptive to change.
  • Ability to effectively present information to others, including other employees, community partners and vendors.
  • Ability to seek direction/approval from on essential matters, yet work independently with little onsite supervision, using professional judgment and diplomacy.

  • Ability to see how one’s work intersects with that of other departments of LifeLong Medical Care and that of other partner organizations.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current CPR from AHA approved organization.
  • Knowledge of Dental Terminology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Preferences

  • One year of relevant dental clinic experience
  • Experience with dental software system; Dentrix and EPIC
  • Experience working with children
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish
