Customer Service
Is accountable for his/her behavior.
Actions contribute to improved customer satisfaction outcome
Interacts with internal and external customers using AIDET methodology
Performs the duties of a Registered Polysomnographic technologist as required
Polysomnographic Record Scoring
Score sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
Score clinical events (such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, arousals etc.) according to center specific protocols.
Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data.
Performs equipment/supply maintenance, equipment cleaning and minor repairs to assure proper equipment function.
Performs related work to collect additional data, perform quality assurance, submit patient charges and credits and related record keeping.

Takes responsibility for self-development by acquiring skills and sharing experiences which support organizational/ department objectives
Pursues excellence and service, demonstrates desire and effort to be a continuous learner as evidenced by the following:
Identifies personal goals and objectives annually as a part of performance appraisal.
Completes Federal, State and System annual requirements:
Identifies self-development opportunities and makes the effort to take advantage of those opportunities
Attends 75% of staff meetings
If RRT or CRT, performs the duties of a registered or certified respiratory therapist (if RRT or CRT) as the workload demands.

Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner
Assumes the responsibility for his/her professional growth and development
Uses proper communications channels, maintains confidentially of customer information and protected healthcare information, ( PHI )
Ensures completion of annual competencies.
Stays up to date with Health System information by reviewing written and electronic communications from various sectors of the System
Works within and as a member of the Sleep Disorders Team but is able to function independently when necessary
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist as described by the Board for Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
Certified in CPR (BLS).
Specialized Knowledge:
Is capable of testing and scoring with a microcomputer data acquisition and scoring system
Kind and Length of Experience:
At least two years of Polysomnographic clinical experience in a Sleep Disorders Center
