We are seeking a Regional Communications Manager to join our team in the Central Florida area. The ideal candidate is local to the area, an outgoing person experienced in communications and/or marketing, and has managerial and leadership skills.
DESCRIPTION: The Regional Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of Communications Specialists who assist in developing and executing community awareness plans, including communicating with internal customers, community members, media, and elected officials. This position would also assist in addressing and resolving public concerns related to projects, as well as ensuring projects are on schedule and in budget.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assistance with:
· Lead a team of Communications Specialists through servant leadership.
· Manage project schedules, budgets, timesheets, and other policy-driven materials.
· Oversee all functions of communications for the client including:
· Write content to inform the public about project benefits, activities, and impacts.
· Plan and implement public meetings and special events.
· Provide content for the project’s Social Media accounts.
· Develop strategic alliances and partnerships.
· Able to work in a constantly evolving, confidential environment, and to travel by use of a vehicle to multiple locations.
· Work with the Creative Team to help produce collateral materials including, PowerPoint presentations, project flyers, video clippings, and press releases.
· Coordinate internal and external information-sharing and communication with the client, stakeholders and community-based organizations.
· Responsive to community questions and concerns.
· Responsible for collaborating closely with teams and on individual projects, often multiple projects at one time while adhering to government communications protocols and other requirements.
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, preferably in public relations, communications, or marketing.

· Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
· Willingness to travel to project locations and throughout the region as needed.
· Talent for understanding, simplifying and effectively communicating complex information to diverse audiences.
· Ability to perform responsibilities with a significant degree of independence, initiative, creativity, and expert judgement.
· Deadline and detail oriented.
· Familiarity with digital communications, including websites, social media, signage, direct mail campaigns and graphic design.
Strong experience with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
· Bilingual (Eng/Spa) a plus but not necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $52,000.00 per year
