Job Description Summary:

Responsible for overseeing all nursing functions provided by the clinical field nurses including but not limited to, assessment of patient needs for successful completion of prescribed therapy, retention, and presents self in a positive attitude with a desire to deliver the best patient experience.

Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Works with nursing network clients to support and understand their overall business objectives and critical success factors.
  • Develops and implements strategies and tactics to consistently meet or exceed quarterly goals.
  • Launch and implement new programs
  • Review volume and key performance metrics for region and provide feedback
  • Establishes and utilizes professional relationships, internally and externally, to generate support for key initiatives, challenges, and opportunities within the assigned region
  • Works across highly matrixed field organization including operations, marketing, sales etc.
  • Train, transition and manage clinical field nurses
  • Interview selected nursing candidates for field nurse positions

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in applicable state
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior nursing leadership experience (outside of basic RN ancillary functions)
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in infusion of specialty therapies

Basic Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and the delivery system within the specialty pharmacy segments.
  • Experience with diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve the problem.
  • Collaborating with both internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department and organizational goals.
  • Ability to analyze and report outcome data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
  • Developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
  • Using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point.

  • Ability to manage and coordinate clinical nursing personnel at varying skill levels and education.
  • Ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Physical Demand Requirements

  • Ability to work on a personal computer and/or laptop computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, reaching
  • Safety requirements include closed toe-shoes, facemask, goggles, gown and/or gloves and functioning device for communication in both routine and emergency situations.
  • Team members in this job classification have the likelihood of occupational exposure to blood, body fluids and other potentially infectious materials. Possible exposure to hazardous substances with possible effect on reproduction, injury from needles, other sharps, fumes, chemicals, humidity, cold, heat, adverse weather elements, animals, secondhand smoke/vape and unpredictable home environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with a maximum lifting of 75 pounds. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently. Physical demands may involve walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, turning, pivoting, balancing, stooping, reaching overhead, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Fine motor skills and visual acuity required by this job include ability to see up close and from a distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Travel Requirements: (if required)

  • Willing to travel up to 100% of the time for business purposes

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing as granted by an accredited school of nursing preferred.
