HFO Midwest a regional distributor of Haas CNC machine tools, tooling and accessories, and related engineering and support services, is seeking an ambitious and detailed Regional Service Manager for our Cincinnati, Ohio territory. Haas Automation is the North American CNC machine tool market share leader. This role will provide an exciting opportunity to work for a multifaceted company in a fast-paced and growing industry. The Regional Service Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the southwest Ohio and Kentucky service teams. The focus of this position will be to work with the Service Manager to ensure customer satisfaction regarding service quality and response time.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for workforce management of Field Service Technicians in assigned area:
  • Review and approve time off requests, holding the team accountable to their daily responsibilities, service report review, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Co-supervision of in-house service and technical support staff.
  • Responsible for on-site customer visits as necessary.
  • Ensure that all Haas machines are installed correctly and running at optimal levels per standard expectations.
  • Manage current and new customer relationships.
  • Act as a liaison to provide service updates, feedback, and quality suggestions to ultimately improve upstream efforts of our builder.
  • Evaluate technical proficiency and create training plans as needed.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing of field service department and drive same day/next day response time.
  • Evaluate metric data and develop and deploy continuous improvement projects as needed.
  • Travel is required, when needed.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Strong organizational skills/possessing traits of being able to follow a systemic method of performing a task.
  • Directly related experiencing in troubleshooting situations / problem solving skills.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.
  • Strong discernment for standard business practices.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years of machine tool service and/or engineering experience with at least 3 in a management position.
  • Has served as a technical expert on machine tool mechanical, electrical, and motion control systems
  • Proven experience using CRM systems (Salesforce.com preferred) to capture information and apply metric performance.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills required to empower and manage employees as well as handle customer interactions successfully.

  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to keep their composure with the public and co-workers in everyday, stressful situations.
