Alternative Behaviors, we are currently hiring for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). RBTs are responsible for providing direct behavior analysis services to individuals with autism. The individual must have a good understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and be able to design and implement behavior plans.

The primary duties of an RBT include:

• Collecting data on targeted behaviors to measure the efficacy of the treatment plan
• Implementing behavior modification techniques under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Writing detailed progress reports and maintaining accurate records
• Developing positive relationships with clients and their families
• Working collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team

Applicants for this position must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Additionally, they must pass the RBT Competency Assessment administered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Candidates should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Finally, the ideal candidate should have experience working with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and someone who has already passed the RBT exam.
