Johnston Dental Care is looking for a passionate and motivated EFDA Dental Assistant to assist in a variety of dental procedures. The successful candidate will be involved in preparing patients for procedures and working directly with patients on an individual basis to ensure their comfort and safety during treatment. Great candidates will have at least 2yrs previous experience working in a dental setting, strong communication skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail. Our office is open Monday through Thursday with opportunities for additional hours. We are looking for a team player with excellent patient skills, willing to learn and expand their dental knowledge. We are looking to hire for a start date of June 5th with the right candidate. Benefits available and monthly commission.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a sterile work environment according to the principles of aseptic technique and Standard Precautions.
• Use dental handpieces and equipment to prepare patient for dental procedures.
• Operate drills and other handpieces during dental procedures.
• Record and verify patient's medical history.
• Explain to patients post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and patients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,285.00 - $41,850.00 per year
