Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. The Emergency Room department at Straub Clinic & Hospital includes 13 treatment areas that attend to approximately 60 to 80 patients per day for issues ranging from cardiac or surgical care to acute injuries. Patients can go to any emergency room in Hawai‘i, but many chose Straub for its service excellence and longstanding commitment to providing the best quality care. As the Registered Nurse, you would have the opportunity to provide professional and compassionate nursing services in Straub’s Emergency Room through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care. You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse and begin to assume charge nurse responsibilities with time. We are looking for an individual with excellent patient care and communication skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) CPR cards. One (1) year recent registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting.

Preferred Qualifications: Two (2) years recent registered nurse experience in an Emergency Department. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field. Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) CPR card.
